Alexandra Nikita is a Las Vegas-raised, New York-based photographer specializing in fashion narrative, and photographic printmaking. She is currently completing her BFA in Photography and Related Media at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she earned her Associate's Degree in 2024. Her exhibited works include Neighborhood in group exhibition "This Must Be The Place," (2024), as well as her thesis exhibition SevenSevenSeven alongside senior photography students in "From Our Eyes," (2026) at the Museum at FIT. Her work is also currently displayed in the office of the president at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Raised in a military household amid the hedonistic city of Las Vegas, Nikita obtained a first-hand account of coexisting truths. This heavily informs her work, as her photography explores contrasting dynamics, allowing conflicts like rebellion and complacency to live side by side. Building sets and styling her subjects, she constructs a personalized universe with each image she takes. Nikita treats fashion elements and environment as extensions of character, rather than solely visual interest. Nikita’s use of hyperbolic color is central to her practice, utilizing saturation as a symbol of desensitization, exploring the tolerance of chaos and overindulgence. Nikita’s use of color is most apparent in her pigment prints, as she considers not only color, but paper, texture, and orientation to create tangible, concrete confrontations. Nikita’s printed works allows each image to exist as a fragment of a larger, unresolved narrative that resists a linear timeline and complacency. The physical embodiment of her work intends to expose what seemingly, confident, polished exteriors attempt to hide.
